Precision weights of class F2: adjustment, testing and calibration weights for balances of class II and for the quality assurance of balances with up to 50 000 steps according to ISO 9001 ff.; for the calibration of weights of the lower classes (M3 to M1) according to OIML R111; for transactions on balances of class II (e.g. precious metals and gemstones), and as load bodies for the most accurate determination of tension, pressure or torsion.

Application

F2 test weights are used, among other applications, for check weighing, testing processes and calibration tasks in laboratories, industry, trade and quality assurance. They can also be used for the calibration and verification of weights of lower accuracy classes, in particular from M1 to M3, according to OIML R111.

Further applications include significant weighing processes, e.g. in the field of precious metals or gemstones, as well as use as load bodies for accurate tensile, compression or torsion measurements.

Marking of F2 Weights

According to OIML R111-1:2004, weights of class F2 from 1 g upwards are marked with their nominal value, but without unit information. To identify class F2, the letter F is additionally applied above the nominal value.

For differentiation, weights of the same nominal value that occur more than once in weight sets can be marked with dots or stars.

In addition, up to five customer-specific user markings, such as characters, letters or numbers, can be applied. This allows the weights to be clearly identified as test or measuring equipment and better integrated into internal test equipment management.

These user markings can be specified individually when ordering.

Weight sets and cases

All weight sets include gloves, two brushes and two tweezers; sets up to 50 g come without the big tweezers, the big brush and the gloves.
